The Debian Administrator's handbook
A very useful book which helps to have a global overview of the matter of administrating a Debian system.
It starts from the installation and the basic configuration up to a more complex setup of a LAMP system. It also covers the security issues and the maintenance.
The topics are not covered in deep (this is not the purpose) but there are many links where to find more information about every single topic.
I would suggest this book both to the beginners and to the experienced people.
It is updated to the latest version of Debian which is the one called Wheezy (in the days of my writing).
This book has been published under the terms of the GNU General Public License so you can get a copy of it or even read it on-line.
